About

I am a bunny mama! Smores is a rabbit & therefore my baby♥

The cutest bun blog logo for a blog about rabbit and bunny care.

I have an adorable dwarf bun, she is a mixed breed and adopted from my local shelter.

Follow Me & Smores:

Smores is actually my first pet ever! Growing up my parents did not allow me to have pets and I think my mom has a phobia of all animals. However, I hit a very dark time in my life so my best friend took me to a Pet Smart with her, she had stated that she was buying food for her hamster. The real reason is that she wanted me to be around a bunny. I had told her that I had wanted a bunny before and was researching them, but I didn’t think it would happen. That same month I had also been told by my therapist to get an emotional support animal, again I had also told her I wanted a bunny. When my BFF and I arrived at Pet Smart we just just walked very normally in, I was simply following her and not looking at anything, then I pass a cage and the bunny stands up. The bunny was doing more than just stand up, she was almost try to claw and jump out of the cage to get me. I felt an instant connection with her. Her name was Smores, a cute little black bunny. My BFF asked an employee to take her out of the cage for me, she wrestled in the employee’s arms and immediately jumped onto me where she became calm. I found that amazing, I did not know bunnies could be this way. I knew I had to get her but I had no supplies at home. I began buying supplies on Amazon that minute, as Pet Smart did not allow you to put animals on hold. I was a prime member so most of it did come with in 2 days but not all of it. I called every day with in those two days and lo and behold, Smores had been adopted. I was crushed. Several months later in the summer, I began going to my local shelter to donate veggies and make sure the bunnies were looked after properly. There was a female bun, in the corner of her cage, seemingly shy. She had a noisy neighbor to her left, thumping and just obviously upset. Yet this shy little bun was licking that side of the cage as if she was friends with the grumpy bun. I slowly, cautiously and inadvisably, stuck my finger into the cage. She instantly began to lick me and we became best friends. This female bun was a dwarf, had dark blue eyes, a bit of a lionhead mane and gray and white fur. I just knew she was meant to be and in honor of the first bunny I wasn’t able to adopt, I named her Smores. Me and Smores are very happy right now and there hasn’t been a moment she has stopped loving me from day one, which was 3 years ago now. There’s much more to this story and more details will probably be spread around this blog. What’s important to note is that, I love her with all my heart and she has brought me more happiness than I could ever imagine. I think bunnies are the perfect pet and I just want to share that with people.
